Guests Comments & Recommendations for Creevy Cottages in Donegal!

We have very much enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable and well equipped cottage.  Enjoyed leisurely walks along the cliffs and wonderful beach at Rossnowlagh.  Food excellent at both the local hotel and particularly at the Smugglers Creek, Rossnowlagh -advisable to book in the evenings!

Super cottage in delightful setting. Weather dry and even a bit of sunshine! Creevy Pier Hotel and Smugglers Creek very good food. Rossnowlagh beach great for body boarding. Bundoran good for kids' entertainment. Lovely drives. Next time must bring the fishing rods!  We had a great time, many thanks.

We all loved Kitty's cottage and really enjoyed our short stay at Creevy.  The cottages are in a lovely location with the coast walks and beaches. We all thought the fireplace was very impressive. We loved the wash basins in the bedrooms!  The cottage was very spacious and easy to feel at home in.  Highly recommended.

We arrived for a short 3 night stay. This is our first trip. The weather has been spectacular! We found the cottage very comfortable. Things we did and enjoyed:  Drove to Glencolmcille-well worth the time. Spectacular scenery! Made a stop at Killybegs to see the fishing boats.  Walked the trail from Creevy that runs by the shore - Great views!  Breakfasted at Shannon's Corner in Ballyshannon - Reasonable and good!  Dinner at the  Heron's Cove - great meal at reasonable price - must try the "Creamy Fish Chowder"!  Played golf at Donegal Golf Club Murvagh - tough links course! Reasonable & worth it if you're a golfer. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would like to come back.

This is our third visit to Creevy. We loved every minute of our time here. The cliff walks and Rossnowlagh beach have become firm favorites for our daily walks. Visits to Ballyshannon, Donegal Town and a drive through the Blue Stack Mountains & Lough Eske completed the week.  The cottage is so cozy and comfortable and the weather was so good that we did not light the fire!

Our second stay in Kitty's cottage and we enjoyed it more this time as the weather was very good.  We discovered the joys of body boarding at Rossnowlagh! Wetsuits can be bought new and second-hand at Bundoran or hired on the beach. The lads went on a fishing trip and thoroughly enjoyed their day-this can be arranged by Margaret Storey at Creevy Co-Operative.  Creevy Pier Hotel is nice to go to for food in the evening and great to stay for a drink and a sing song to the early hours! Heron's Cove  is lovely for a meal but you have to book as it gets quite busy.  Dicey Riley's in Ballyshannon is good fun, good atmosphere! Buy the Donegal Democrat and it will list all the events for the week and week-end i.e. live music, cinema etc. Hope your stay here is as good as ours!

This is our first time coming to this part of Donegal as we usually travel to the highlands. The change was different for us all. Kitty's cottage has been very homely for the three of us and our dog Lady. The weather was what you would expect for early February but we got some lucky breaks and saw some fine weather. Many cozy nights spent by the fireside enjoying company. The beach at Rossnowlagh is beautiful and the walks fantastic. We don't want to leave but we must and so promise ourselves a return trip! Hope you enjoy discovering Kitty's cottage and Donegal as much as we have over the years.

Thank you very much the cottage was lovely. We did not know what to expect as we had booked because of the name Kitty's Cottage, it has surpassed our expectations. We have been traveling around Ireland a bit and this is by far the most picturesque place we have stayed in. We'll leave you with a holiday tip: Buy a Kite and fly it on Rossnowlagh beach and don't forget to paddle!

Needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of Dublin and did exactly that by coming here. We totally chilled out! Had forgotten how good it felt to relax and not clock watch all the time! Great place, great company. We'll be back.!!!!

Big Jimmy's - Gorgeous cottage, great facilities, brilliant "out of the way" location and fantastic views.  Love the fireplace!  Had a brilliant weekend and we hope to come back again sometime soon.  Thanks to Barbara & Margaret.

Big Jimmy's is a dream, a real dream, the ocean, the nature, the wind, the fireplace ..

Everything seems to be out of the time.  I hope one day to come back again with my future husband and our family!  Paolo what you think?

.Well I think that we should get married as soon as possible.  Since I came here in Ireland eleven years ago I've been dreaming to spend a night like the one we had yesterday.  A dream became truth.  I love you my love.

Thanks Margaret for all that!              Donegal . don't dream .GO!

We're some Catalons who like Ireland very much - in terms of the green nature.  We love Ireland and all that is both felt and heard here!  Very pretty the northern coast, especially the Sliabh Liag cliffs and the journey on that trip, along with "Captain Paddy" What a funky lovely man!  The house "the sweet home" very welcoming and surrounded of peace and eco-surprises.  Thanks a lot!!
